GICS Vivo 700R Electric Folding Wheelchair
GICS Vivo 700R Electric Folding Wheelchair - One-Button Auto Fold, 700W, 30km Range, Remote Control
Getting in and out of the car should not require a second pair of hands. Folding your wheelchair should not mean struggling with stiff levers, bending down awkwardly, or asking someone nearby for help. If that sounds familiar, the Vivo 700R was designed with you in mind.
The GICS Vivo 700R folds and unfolds at the press of a single button — via the joystick controller or the handheld remote. No bending, no manual latches, no effort. The chair folds itself down to a compact 64 × 43 × 76 cm footprint, ready to slide into a car boot or store at home. Unfold it just as easily when you arrive.
Beyond the folding, the Vivo 700R is a fully capable everyday chair. Powered by a 700W dual motor and a 24Ah lithium battery, it delivers up to 30km of range on a full charge. Six shock absorbers, 8 and 12.5-inch PU solid tyres, and a tight 110cm turning circle handle everything from care home corridors to uneven outdoor paths. Flip-up armrests, three storage compartments, and a quick-release battery round out a thoughtfully designed daily chair.
Every Vivo 700R purchased from eRIDEJUNCTION includes an in-store demonstration, professional setup check, and lifetime aftercare from our Birmingham workshop. Visit us to try before you buy →

- Seat depth — should leave 3–5 cm between the back of your knees and the front edge of the seat to avoid circulation issues.
- Max user weight — do not exceed the maximum load capacity. This affects performance, battery range, and warranty.

Is this wheelchair road legal in the UK?
Electric wheelchairs are classified as invalid carriages under UK law and are permitted on pavements and pedestrian areas. They are not designed or approved for use on public roads alongside motor traffic. Always use designated pedestrian routes and exercise caution near traffic.
Can I take this wheelchair on a plane?
This wheelchair features a compact folding design and lithium batteries within typical airline limits, making it airline friendly for most carriers. However, every airline has its own rules on battery wattage, dimensions and handling of powered mobility equipment. We strongly recommend contacting your airline directly before travelling to confirm their specific requirements and arrange assistance in advance.
How long does the battery last and how far can I travel?
Battery range figures are manufacturer claimed under ideal conditions — flat surfaces, moderate speed, and a rider within the stated weight limit. Real-world range will vary based on your weight, terrain, speed setting, temperature, and battery age. As a guide, expect real-world range to be roughly 70–80% of the claimed figure under typical conditions.
Can I charge the batteries without removing them?
Yes. This model offers two charging methods — you can charge via the charging port on the controller without removing anything, or you can remove the batteries and charge them separately. The removable battery option is particularly useful when travelling or when access to a socket near the wheelchair is limited.
What is the maximum weight this wheelchair can carry?
This wheelchair has a manufacturer-stated maximum load capacity of 120 kg. This includes the rider and any items carried on the chair. Exceeding the maximum load may affect performance, range, and the long-term durability of the frame and motors. If you are close to the limit, please contact us and we can advise on the most suitable model.
Can a carer control the wheelchair as well as the user?
Yes — this model includes two control options. The user operates the chair via the 360° joystick controller. A carer or family member can use the included handheld wireless remote control to operate the chair independently. There is also a manual push mode which disengages the motor so the chair can be pushed by a carer like a standard wheelchair.
How heavy is this wheelchair and can one person lift it?
The Featherlite 700R weighs just 19 kg — significantly lighter than most powered wheelchairs. It is designed to be lifted by one person into a car boot or aircraft hold. The aviation-grade aluminium frame keeps weight to a minimum without sacrificing the 120 kg load capacity. The built-in drag handle also lets you wheel it through airports and stations without lifting.
Will this wheelchair cope with slopes and uneven ground?
The 700W dual motor handles inclines up to 9° comfortably. The intelligent electromagnetic braking system automatically holds the chair still when you release the joystick on a slope — it will not roll back. Front and rear shock absorber springs help smooth out uneven surfaces, cobblestones and kerbs. PU solid tyres are puncture-proof and provide good grip on most outdoor surfaces.
What happens if the battery runs out while I am out?
If the battery runs low, the wheelchair can be switched to manual push mode so a carer can push it home safely. The intelligent electromagnetic brake disengages in manual mode, allowing free movement of the wheels. We recommend always carrying the charger cable when travelling longer distances and keeping an eye on the battery indicator on the controller display.

Most common repairs are turned around within the same week. You can bring the chair in, or contact us on 0121 724 0393 or WhatsApp 07387 386786 to discuss collection and delivery options.
What warranty does this wheelchair come with?

As an authorised GICS dealer and repair centre, your warranty remains fully valid when purchased from eRIDEJUNCTION. After your warranty period ends, our lifetime technical support continues — call, WhatsApp or visit our Birmingham workshop for any ongoing help.
