GICS Flex 4-in-1 Rollator Walker
GICS Flex 4-in-1 Rollator Walker - Walking Aid, Rest Seat, Wheelchair & Storage in On
Some days you can walk the full length of the high street. Other days, you need to sit down after five minutes. And on the difficult days, you need something to push you along entirely. Most mobility aids make you choose one — the GICS Flex does all four.
Use it as a walking aid when you are steady on your feet. Sit on the padded seat and rest whenever you need - no need to find a bench, no need to ask anyone for help. When your legs are too tired to carry you, a carer can push you in it as a manual wheelchair. And everywhere you go, the mesh storage basket carries your bags, shopping, or daily essentials so your hands stay free on the handles.
At just 10kg and made from high-strength aluminium alloy, the Flex is light enough for most people to lift into a car boot unaided. The handle height adjusts across 7 positions from 78 to 93cm to fit your height precisely. Eight-inch solid PU tyres handle pavements, ramps, and uneven ground quietly and without punctures. One-touch lock brakes — squeeze to slow, squeeze fully to lock, lift to release - are intuitive enough to use without thinking.

What is a rollator and how is it different from a standard walking frame?
A rollator is a four-wheeled walking aid with a built-in seat, backrest and storage basket. Unlike a standard walking frame which you have to lift with each step, a rollator rolls smoothly as you walk — you push it forward rather than lifting it. The GICS Flex also doubles as a rest seat and a manual wheelchair when needed, giving you four functions in one device.
Can this rollator be used as a wheelchair?
Yes — on harder days, you can sit on the padded seat and a carer can push you from behind using the handles. This makes the Flex a practical manual wheelchair substitute for short distances. It is not designed as a full replacement for a dedicated wheelchair for long-term daily use, but for occasional or temporary use it works well.
How do the brakes work?
The GICS Flex uses a two-action handgrip brake system. Squeeze the orange long handle gently to slow the rollator down as you walk. Squeeze it fully to lock the wheels — this locks the rollator in place so you can sit down safely on the seat. To release the brakes and move again, lift the black short handle. The system is intuitive and designed to be used without thinking.
How do I adjust the handle height?
The handle height adjusts across 7 positions from 78cm to 93cm to accommodate a wide range of user heights. No tools are required. A general guide: your handles should be at approximately wrist height when you are standing upright with arms relaxed by your sides. If in doubt, visit our Birmingham showroom and we can set it up for you correctly.
How much weight can the rollator carry?
The GICS Flex has a maximum load capacity of 120kg — this covers the user's weight when sitting on the seat and when leaning on the handles while walking. The storage basket holds up to 5kg of items separately. Do not exceed the stated load limits as this may affect stability and frame integrity.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. The 8-inch solid PU tyres handle pavements, gentle ramps, and uneven outdoor surfaces confidently. They are puncture-proof and quiet on both indoor floors and outdoor paths. The rollator is not suitable for rough off-road terrain, steps, or steep inclines.
How do I fold it for transport?
The GICS Flex folds quickly using the tool-free quick-fold mechanism. When folded it is compact enough to fit in most car boots. No tools or complex steps are required. If you need a demonstration, visit our Birmingham showroom and we will show you in person.
Will the tyres go flat?
No. The GICS Flex uses solid PU tyres — there is no inner tube and no air pressure. They cannot puncture or go flat. They are also wear-resistant and quiet, requiring zero maintenance throughout the life of the product.
Can I use it if I have never used a rollator before?
Yes — the GICS Flex arrives fully assembled and ready to use. If you are new to using a rollator, we strongly recommend visiting our Birmingham showroom where one of our team can fit the handle height correctly, demonstrate the brakes, and let you try it before you take it home.
Do you offer servicing and repairs?
Yes — our Birmingham workshop services and repairs GICS rollators alongside our wheelchair range. Contact us on 0121 724 0393 or WhatsApp 07387 386786 to discuss any issues. Most common repairs are turned around within the same week.
What warranty does this rollator come with?
The GICS Flex comes with a 12-month manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. After your warranty period, our lifetime technical support continues — call, WhatsApp, or visit our Birmingham workshop for any ongoing help.
